Today I added an interesting item in my shop. It is a sock doll, I made it using a tutorial from the “Sock and Glove” book I mentioned in my blog before. I really liked working on this doll, and I want to make more! Let’s see if people on Etsy like it, too
Other items in today’s update are: five ninja animals, two sock bunnies and one sock kitty (check it out – I love its color!).

Oh, I love action photos! Here is one from Erin. Her little son Bryce likes stripes, so she bought him a stripy kitty:

Aren’t they adorable?

I mostly worked on custom orders recently, but I also made three toys for the shop! I used the last two fluffy socks I had, and I made a kitty and a bunny. They look super cute!

The two monkeys and the violet striped kitty are custom orders. Other toys are available in my shop!

Not only Americans celebrate the victory of Barack Obama, we Europeans are happy, too! My husband made a chocolate cake when Obama won, and I decided to make something crafty… So here goes – three kitchy star-shaped pillows, featuring Barah Obama’s face and “Yes we did” slogan:
Obama Pillows
I made them out of fleece. Obama’s face is printed on cotton. YES WE DID is hand embroidered, and the ribbons are machine sewed on.
All three pillows are available in my shop.

Today I added four kitties and one dog.
I made the doggy using tutorial from the book I bought recently – “Sock and Glove” by Miyako Kanamori. It was not very easy, I had to spend quite a lot of time trying to figure out how to close the head and insert the ears, but I like the result. Since it takes longer to make this dog comparing to monkeys and dogs I made before, I had to set a higher price. Let’s see if anyone on Etsy likes my dog!
Also in todays shop update – Christmas Kitty. I came across those gorgeous green/red socks with Christmas ornaments, and they made a very cute kitty! I have a couple of pairs more, so I might make a monkey and more cats.

I saw these cute baby socks on sale and I couldn’t help buying them! So I decided to make a pocket version of the sock bunnies that are rather popular in my shop. These little bunnies turned out to be really really cute! Look:

Autumn, dark cold Autumn… I don’t like this time of the year. But there are some good things, still. Bright colours and fresh smell of the fallen leaves. Sun visits sometimes
I was working on a sock monkey when I looked in the window and saw the stunning picture:

I like the contrast of bright yellow/red leaves and dark gray sky!
In other news, I found a fantastic tutorial on how to make a glove chipmunk here. So I decided to make a little friend for myself. I had those old gloves I really loved to wear, but as it happens to many modern clothes (“Oh where has old good quality gone” – in grumpy old lady voice), they were worn out before I knew that! The knitting became thin, then a couple of little holes appeared… But they were great for the chipmunk project. Here is what I came with:
chipmunk
Isn’t he a lovely little guy? The fingers on my old gloves were all of different colors, and there were a few matching buttons, too. The buttons made a cute brooch for the chipmunk. I like how “vintage” and “autumny” he looks. What a cutie!
Ok, and now it is time for me to get back to my “sock factory”. I should make something for my shop!
